A game jam is a time-boxed game development challenge where participants build a complete game around an announced theme in a matter of days, solo or in a team. On The Gaming Nest, any user can host a game jam for free, and submitted games play right in the browser — no downloads needed.
How do I join a team?
Open the game jam you're interested in and register, then connect with other participants to form a new team or join an existing one. You can also take part solo if you prefer.
Do I need experience?
No — game jams are beginner-friendly and one of the best ways to learn game development hands-on. Enthusiasm is enough; you gain the experience as you build.
Are there prizes?
Prizes vary from jam to jam and are set by the host on the jam's page. Even without a cash prize, you finish with a published browser-playable game added to your profile.
